an Olive Green Glass Pitcher

With pear-shaped body standing on a large ring base, cylindrical neck which flares into a funnel-shaped mouth with a reinforcement trail under the rim. A handle joining the middle of the body to the rim where it divides to form a vertical thumb-rest.

Literature: Constable-Maxwell Coll., nos. 257, 258 (same family). Israel Museum Coll., (H), no. 267 (same family).

Period: Circa 4th Century AD
Dimensions: Height: 20.0cm
Condition: Very good
