A Purple Glass Jug

Free-blown, with an ovoid body, ring base, pyriform neck and a large disk-like rim. A solid handle is attached from shoulder toward the neck. This type of glass imitates metal jugs.

Literature: Israel Museum Coll., (H), no. 234 (same family).

Period: Circa 3rd-4th Century AD
Dimensions: Height: 13.5cm
Condition: Very good; very rare
